They have been described to me as, “a view into the artist’s mind,” and indeed they are. Each one is an amalgamation of memories of places I have been, and daydreams of places I wish to go. They are intuitive paintings, adding to their dreamlike qualities.

“Evergreen Wonder”“Autumnal Winds”These “Mystic Wreaths,” as I call them, are akin to the dreamscapes in that they are imagined, intuitive paintings. They are inspired largely by color palettes and shapes I find on my hikes, as well as whatever catches my eye in my daily life.

The Golden Series is named for the the glow of the gold acrylic ink laced throughout each painting. I was daydreaming of Acadia National Park during their creation.

“Autumn Remnants”“Teal Cove”“Aubergine Storm”The Foothills Series is named for its simple inspiration, the majestic beauty of the Appalachian foothills where I live. It is probably a series that will remain continuous throughout my career.
